Thornæs Danish Whisky, Single Malt - Solbjerg

Solbjerg is another release in our Uncharted Series, which consists of whiskies that have been matured in smaller casks down to 50 liters. The small casks provide a more intense maturation with, among other things, greater extraction from the wood and faster oxygenation. This also means that many of these whiskies are ready to drink after only 3-4 years of aging.

Solbjerg is matured in 1st fill Bourbon barrels and barrels of new European oak. With the combination we achieve the classic notes of fruit, vanilla and caramel, but also more floral and slightly spicy elements from the Eastern European oak. In addition, there is a little extra sweetness from the fresh wood.

The result is a delicate and very drinkable whisky that combines the classic with the more complex, all balanced by notes of floral honey.

Solbjerg is specially developed for the Danish Food Treasures in Meny and can therefore only be purchased in Meny's stores.

All bottles are numbered.
