Liquid apple pie with Herbal Gin

The fresh, green Mediterranean herbs in Mad Owl Herbal Gin are a perfect match for the many aromatic apple notes that are present in several different ways in this exciting cocktail. In addition, there is a wonderful taste of sweetness and warmth from the cinnamon sugar. Together, they create a flavor profile of a spicy and delicious apple pie.

You must use

• 30ml Mad Owl Herbal Gin
• 45 ml apple juice
• 25 ml vanilla syrup (find recipe here! )
• 15 ml lime juice
• Apple cider
• Fresh apple or pear and a sprig of rosemary as a garnish
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• Ice cubes

This is how you do it

1. Pour cinnamon sugar onto a small plate or saucer.
2. Wet the rim of the glass with apple juice.
3. Put the rim of the glass in the cinnamon sugar and let it settle evenly on the glass.
4. Shake gin, apple juice, syrup and lime juice with ice.
5. Then strain into the ice-filled glass.
6. Top with cider.
7. Garnish your drink with slices of apple and a sprig of rosemary.

This recipe was developed by the Craft Gin Club in England. They have developed a total of seven new cocktails with Mad Owl Gin, which are perfect for this winter's cold and snow.

These cocktails are all you need to warm up and let the Christmas cheer spread. We have everything from a liquid apple pie in a highball glass to a warming winter combination of a Bramble Negroni.

Craft Gin Club has both developed the recipe and taken the beautiful photos of the cocktail. In November 2021, a special edition of Thornæs Mad Owl Gin Citrus was the Craft Gin Club's gin of the month, after which it won the title of "foreign gin of the year".
